This makes me so upset. THIS is what they do in magazines with photoshop and what many many models do to their actual bodies! This woman is so beautiful at her natural size and after she is photoshopped… she looks anorexic. Then images like these scatter the pages of every magazine out there and are deemed beautiful. And because there is only one type of body in these magazines- everybody wants to look like them. Models, women, and little girls. WHEN IN REALITY, most of the women in the magazines are photoshopped to look that way. Its awful!

We don’t actually look like our photographs these days..Don’t believe what  you see, all smoke and mirrors…

I saw Zooey Deschanel’s Rimmel London Make-Up ad today at the back of a magazine and I swear, I wouldn’t have known it was her if I didn’t read the caption. What did they do to her face!? It’s been photoshopped all to hell. It looks horrible and fake. She’s already naturally beautiful.

It’s so sad. Even gorgeous women don’t make the cut… Like the altered photo looks bizarre and slightly creepy…

Posting this for the sake of how terrifying it is.

Its her eyes and her nose!

Britney Spears volunteers before-and-after pictures to be shown to schools to help students overcome body image issues.

This makes me feel good.

I’ve posted this a million times but Ill post it again— I just can’t get over it. She is gorgeous no matter what but what we see in ads and what influences young girls all over is so unrealistic!

Don’t buy too much into the media. It literally has no importance to what life is all about. Try not to have too many useless “things”- because that is what us Americans live for… to have the best, the most, and the biggest “things”. Live simply and happily.

“Holly Madison: I think it can put pressure on young woman, but I think anything in the media can. I think fashion magazines can, I think television shows can. One thing that’s important for women to remember about Playboy is that what we’re selling is a fantasy. You know, everybody is airbrushed in some way, shape, or form. Everybody has a scar or a mole or a bruise that they’re going to have to take out in a photo; or wrinkles around their eyes or something. And you know, what [Playboy] is selling is a fantasy. They’re not selling a real life woman, and I think that’s important for women to remember. I think it’s also important to remember, don’t take things so seriously. I think when people freak out that a Barbie Doll is too skinny, I think they’re taking things way out of context. If a girl grows up thinking she’s supposed to look like a Barbie Doll, she’s a little whacked. You know what I mean?”

It is kind of strange how male and female standards of sex are so opposite. If you have sex with a bunch of guys, you are a slut. But if a guy has sex with a bunch of girls, he is a god! I think it is perfectly fine for a girl to have multiple partners, just be safe and classy and you’re all set! And it is also perfectly fine to wait and find one guy for a long time. Whatever floats your boat.

Crystal Renn Doesn't Like the Term "Plus Size"

Read this article, Crystal is so wise!

I really admire Crystal Renn so much for her view on the modeling industry. Of all models, I think she is probably the most wise and insightful of them all because she has been at every spectrum and extreme of the modeling world! She started out as a “standard” model… to anorexic… then shot up to a “plus size” model at sizes 10-16. Now she is around a size 6 or 8 it seems. Crystal knows her stuff. And I think she is SO RIGHT when she says that we need to stop putting labels on models and just have regular old models. No plus size, no regular… just models. When there is a runway show, all that should be displayed is the clothing and the beautiful woman wearing the clothing, not what size they are. And it really would be amazing to see an actual runway show with complete diversity and no bias- Sizes 0-16 all walking the catwalk at one time in harmony.

It bothers me how so many people are pissed that Crystal is no longer “Plus Size”. She is healthy now at her size and is still a fabulous, smart, beautiful model! Why does it matter what size she is as long as she is healthy and happy? To be honest when she first lost the weight I was a little upset too… because she was my role model- one of my biggest influences. But NOW she is an even bigger role model to me. She believes in HEALTH and DIVERSITY and LOVING YOURSELF no matter what your size. :-)

She went from this:

To this:

To this:

And she most certainly looks the healthiest now! <3
